Aurora Patriotic Days  ◊  July 2nd - July 4th

Aurora celebrates the 4th of July with a bang, featuring parades, picnics, sawdust piles, live music and numerous community events. Class reunions and other gala festivities provide nostalgic entertainment for residents and visitors alike.

 NMLF The Northern Lights Music Festival brings fine professional classical music to the Iron Range.  Founded in 2003 by Aurora native, Veda Zuponcic, the festival  brings opera, symphonic music and chamber music to Aurora as well as other Range cities .  

The 2016 season will open on July 2 at Mesabi East High School with a Gala Opening Concert, and will produce Gershwin's Porgy and Bess on the Festive Fourth Concert at Mesabi East.  Puccini's tragic opera, Madama Butterfly opens in Aurora on July 15.

Aurora's PumpkinFest, held annually the 2nd Weekend in October, attracts both young and old!

The PumpkinFest is held indoor/outdoor at the Aurora Community Building located on the corner of Main Street and 1st Street West.

Great Pumpkin 5K Fun Run/Walk ◊  2nd Saturday of October

The Aurora Chamber of Commerce will be hosting The Great Pumpkin 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, October 8, 2016!

This unique family friendly race will lap around Lake St. James on paved trails for the entire course. Prizes awarded to top overall Male & Female Finisher and a few fun categories for EVERYONE to enjoy!

5K Walk/Run Registration begins at 9am,   Race at 9:30am.
Registration held at the Snowmobile Trailhead Sign, which lies to the west of the intersection of East 1st Avenue and North Main Street.

The 5K is a fundraiser for the Aurora Patriotic Days Committee - your support of this event helps us fund all the fun in Aurora from July 2-4, including fireworks, kids games, and parade.

Holiday Heritage Festival ◊ Dec 10, 2016

The Holiday Heritage Festival will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016.  at the Aurora Community Building located on the corner of Main Street and 1st Street West. 

Get your Christmas Shopping done early with the many craft Vendors.  Kids can shop for their family and friends at the "Kids Only" area.  Cookie decorating, ornament making, visit with Santa, and games!  Plenty of parking and activities for all ages!
