Lake St. James Walking Trail

Nestled among the pines with breathtaking views of Lake St. James, this newly constructed bituminous walking trail starts at the Mesabi Trailhead located on 3rd Avenue North and extends for 3 miles around Lake St. James.

Mesabi Trail

The Mesabi Trail is a premier bicycle trail winding through some of the state's prettiest regions. Aurora is proud to be a Trailhead along the Mesabi Trail, offering a premier trail to bike, walk, horseback ride, or roller blade along this section of the Mesabi Trail.

Cross Country Skiing Trails
Due to the generosity and kindness of volunteers, many unofficial cross country ski trails have been created north of Aurora.  These can be accessed from North Erie Street.
